  • Flex Elite. The card has not officially launched yet, but you can join the waitlist.

Benefits

  1. Earn unlimited 3% cash back on all purchases as the base rewards rate!
  2. Keep $250,000 in deposits with Flex to earn 4% cash back on all purchases, or $1 million to earn 5%! These elevated rates apply to spending up to your credit limit each billing cycle; spending beyond that earns the base 3% cash back.
  3. No annual fee.

Disadvantages

  1. No welcome offer at this time.
  2. Flex does not offer investment accounts, so the money you deposit can only earn interest—and its interest rates are not particularly competitive. As of October 2026, the APYs are 1.37% for Tier 1 ($100,000 in deposits) and 2.47% for Tier 2 ($1 million in deposits), well below the best savings rates currently available.
  3. Flex is a fintech company, not a bank. Flexbase Technologies, Inc. (Flex) is a financial technology company and is not a bank. The Flex Elite Credit Card is issued by Lead Bank, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.

Recommended Application Time

  1. We recommend having at least two years of credit history before applying for cards issued by smaller banks.

Summary

The base 3% cash back rate is already highly competitive. You can simply skip the 4% and 5% tiers with their hefty deposit requirements and use this as a no-annual-fee, flat-rate 3% cash back card. Personally, though, I doubt this model is sustainable. Unlimited 2% cash back with no annual fee is a well-established model, but higher rates have generally not lasted long. Flex is a relatively small company. As DoC pointed out, its own marketing materials say it recently raised $60 million, which should give it some cash to burn for a while. Once the card launches, put it to work and enjoy the rewards while they last!
